This wide brown tie includes touches of red and beige. It features 4 birds, two of which looks like peacocks. A few Persian style flowers grace this tie, and the rest of this neckwear is resplendant with paisleys! This wide tie offers oodles of information: 'Paisley Festival' is printed on the underside. The following is printed onto the inner lining: 'This is the genuine Resisto lining, 100% pure virgin wool, non-wrinkable'. The facing on the back of the tip reads, 'Resisto Tie - Sterling - Perfect knotting wear resisting cravat, supreme in quality and construction'. Only the fabric content of the tie itself is unknown. Our guess is it is rayon. The entire design is a tiny bit off center, and there is a touch of color toning located 20 inches from the tip - just above where the design begins. We are happy to offer a "wide" variety of new and vintage men's ties. Men's wide ties (a.k.a. fat ties) were common during the Zoot Suit era of the late 30's and into the flamboyant 40's, and were reintroduced in the mid 60's, a trend that lasted for another ten years and fully blossomed into the "Peacock Style" of the 70's. Many of these vintage wide neckties have very large knots when tied. Check out our wide selection of vintage fat ties, all over 4 inches in width for a unique look. These men's neckties are great fun!
