This Christmas holiday color tie is brand new with a wrapper which reads, 'Netherland Plaza featuring Styles of Today with a Touch of Tomorrow (I'd say!), Hand Tailored, Rayon'. The attached fabric tag reads, 'Hand Tailored, Resilient Construction, Pat. No. 1.447,090, Feb. 27, 1923', which is the date Jesse Langsdorf received his patent for manufacturing neckties using resilient construction, which makes them lay flatter and wear longer and which dates this tie post 1924. This new tie is very short, has facing on the underside, and both tips bear machine stitched finishing hems, hallmarks of a 30s to 40s transitional neckwear. Makes a wonderful piece of wearable art! 3.75x45.5inches (SKU# T10951) Because this necktie still has its original tag, we can confidently say that it has never been worn. However, it is not technically a 'new' tie. All our ties are acquired from private collectors or other resale sources. We do not have any direct affiliation with the designer or maker of this necktie and are not an authorized reseller.

This SHORT 40's era necktie features a nautical scene which is hard to see because a lot of the paint chipped off. Also the purple tie suffers from some fading. This tie would have been spectacular without the fading. This vintage neckwear is in fair condition. 4x47.5inches (SKU# T32313)
